We are looking for a qualified forklift technician in a full time Monday – Friday role based in Napier.

The role:

Reporting to our dedicated and experienced Service Manager – North Island for LDX, you will be required to have technical knowledge of Material Handling units, hold a relevant qualification and have at least 5 years' experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a 'get your hands dirty' kind of person who is comfortable working in a mechanical setting
  • Have some experience with electric, LPG and diesel forklifts
  • Work in a varied and sometimes challenging work environment in this field service role
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
  • Servicing and repairs on various sizes and models of forklifts
  • Order spare parts through the Parts Portal
  • Liaise face-to-face with customers

You will need to:

  • Have an exceptional eye for detail and be technically minded
  • Have a strong work ethic and love anything mechanical
  • Be self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Have strong Computer skills in Microsoft Office packages – Word, Teams & Outlook
  • Have excellent customer service skills to exceed customer expectations
  • Be able to work flexible hours as required as travel is required in this role
  • Be hungry and motivated to make your mark
  • Be able to work without direct supervision with high integrity
  • Respect Health and Safety procedures
  • Have your full driver's license
  • Have at least 5 years' experience in forklift repairs
  • Current holder of NZ work visa, resident, or citizenship
