We're looking for a Mobile Test Engineer who's passionate about quality, performance, and the craft of mobile development. You'll blend your expertise in testing and development to ensure our white-labelled mobile applications run flawlessly and scale seamlessly for every customer.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a central role in the reliability and evolution of our MATTR GO mobile product suite, helping shape how we build, test, and deliver experiences our customers love.
Every day will bring something new, but you can expect to:
- Apply your hybrid expertise in mobile testing and development to ensure quality, integrity, security, and scalability across our white-labelled mobile applications.
- Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product teams to deliver software that's both high-quality and high-impact.
- Manage the build and test activities for mobile products through to production, ensuring reliability and smooth releases.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases for multiple customer variants of the MATTR GO product suite.
- Own and evolve our CI/CD builds and configurations to ensure fast feedback and continuous quality.
- Play a key role in scaling our white-labelling operations, helping new customers onboard successfully.
- Support change and release activities, ensuring deployments are smooth and low-risk.
What you'll bring
You're someone who loves building reliable, beautiful mobile experiences and you know quality isn't just a phase, it's a mindset. You'll have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years' experience testing mobile applications, ideally across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in manual testing using real devices and simulators/emulators.
- Experience in scripting and contributing to code repositories (Git).
- The ability to design, describe, and implement clear and effective mobile test cases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation to ensure fast, reliable releases.
- Experience using agile and lean methodologies (XP, Scrum, Kanban).
- A detail-oriented, organised mindset that thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with React Native mobile development.
- Prior experience in test automation or configuration management.
- Exposure to customer-facing conversations or project reporting.
