Are you passionate about developing coaches and driving excellence in rugby? Bay of Plenty Rugby Union is seeking a dynamic, motivated Coach Development Manager to lead our coach development strategy and help us deliver the best program in New Zealand.

Keep up to date with current best practice and find alignment in coach development across BOPRU, New Zealand Rugby and World Rugby strategic plans.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Current New Zealand Rugby or World Rugby Level 2 Coach qualification is desired.

World Rugby Coach Educator qualification is preferred (will need to acquire if not current).

Competencies:

  • Takes a logical, structured approach to planning and completing workload.
  • Easily establishes rapport with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Effectively builds and maintains effective long-term networks and relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality education programs with excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experienced people person who is a highly motivated, self-starter.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships and manages groups skillfully.
  • Readily shares information and knowledge with colleagues.
  • Has an advanced knowledge of using or willing to learn I.T. skills to create and share resources and information, such as Microsoft Office apps and databases.
  • Willing and proactive to upskill in new systems and technology as required.
