We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Coach to join our warm, friendly, and passionate team. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills who is committed to empowering whānau to achieve their hauora goals.
At our clinic, we operate within a kaupapa Māori framework that guides our approach to care, whanaungatanga, and community support. Our values are grounded in tikanga Māori, and we are focused on achieving equitable health outcomes for all our whānau.
About the RoleAs a Health Coach, you will work alongside our team to support whānau on their health journey. You'll help people navigate the health system, understand their conditions, and develop the skills and confidence to make positive lifestyle changes.
This role is ideal for someone who may have experience in social work, health navigation, or community health, and who wants to make a real difference in a supportive, culturally responsive setting.
Key Responsibilities- Support whānau to access health services and understand their health conditions
- Help patients set goals and make sustainable lifestyle changes (e.g., smoking cessation, nutrition, physical activity, mental wellbeing)
- Work closely with nurses, GPs, and other health professionals to provide wraparound support
- Connect whānau with community resources, social supports, and advocacy services
- Promote health literacy in a way that is accessible, culturally safe, and empowering
- Encourage and support whānau engagement in preventative care and long-term condition management
- Contribute to achieving key health targets and reducing health inequities
- A kaupapa Māori working environment where your culture and values are respected

- Commitment to improving health equity and supporting whānau-led solutions
