We are looking for an AI & Automation Engineer to help real businesses transform how they operate through cutting-edge automation and AI tools.
We are experts in the field of tech, and we leverage our breadth of technology infrastructure, and depth of industry knowledge, expertise and partnerships to develop a unique view of the market for our clients.
This role has an enormous amount of potential where you will work alongside experienced engineers and stay current with AI trends and best practices.

The role encompasses the following broad aspects:
Consult & Collaborate: Work directly with clients to understand their business processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose AI-driven or automation-focused solutions.
Develop & Integrate: Build Python-based tools and applications (front-end/back-end) that integrate AI capabilities and automation platforms.
Implement & Automate: Leverage AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI) and low/no-code automation tools (e.g., , n8n) to create streamlined workflows.
Support & Scale: Troubleshoot and optimise solutions, ensuring they remain scalable, secure, and aligned with clients' evolving needs.
What We're Looking For:
Proficiency in Python: Comfortable building APIs (e.g., Flask) and working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
AI/ML Exposure: Familiarity with AI or machine learning tools, APIs (e.g., OpenAI), or prompt engineering. (Deep expertise not required willingness to learn and experiment is key.)
Front-End Basics: Some experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, ) or willingness to pick them up.
Automation-Driven Mindset: Understanding of business workflows and the desire to leverage automation platforms , n8n) for efficient solutions.
Problem-Solving Attitude: Able to translate real-world business challenges into technical projects and drive them to completion.
- To communicate and collaborate well with both the AI and the wider iT360 team, both verbally and written.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with AWS Lambda, Zappa, or other serverless deployment methods.
Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) techniques or knowledge retrieval systems.
- Skills in Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks for clean, responsive UI design.
Location:
iT360's main company office is located in Wairau Valley on Auckland's North Shore, with an onsite and remote support team infrastructure.
Our Taranaki office is based in New Plymouth.
