SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPIST

reThink Children's Therapy is a specialist children's service which operates throughout Otago & Southland. We help children and their families thrive.

In Dunedin we are looking for a speech language therapist  to join our growing, dynamic team of occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, speech language therapists & social workers.

We are known for delivering high quality & comprehensive services in Dunedin and the lower South Island. Our team work in homes, schools, the community, or from our modern clinic in central Dunedin.

This contracting position offers:

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with children & young people from a wide variety of backgrounds up to 18 years of age.
  • Providing 1:1 assessment & therapy as well as coaching for families and school staff.
  • Working in your areas of expertise which may include assessment & intervention for first words, speech sounds, literacy skills, social skills, understanding communication, and meal time support.
  • Opportunity for multidisciplinary assessment alongside clinical psychology and occupational therapy.
  • You'll provide joint sessions with the wider team when required.

You will have:

  • A recognised university degree in speech & language therapy.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working as a paediatric speech & language therapist.
  • Eligible for membership with NZSTA.
  • Drivers license & own reliable vehicle.
