About the Role:

Step into a pivotal position as Regulatory Assurance Manager with a leading international banking institution based in Auckland CBD. In this role, you'll shape regulatory compliance, strengthen risk frameworks, and deliver assurance activities that support high-quality governance across the bank. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled compliance professional looking to advance their impact in New Zealand's banking regulatory environment,all while enjoying flexible hours in an office-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Risk & Compliance:

  • Lead the delivery and refinement of the Compliance and Risk Management Framework (CRMF).
  • Assess and manage regulatory risk across business units.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies and NZ regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory risk matters.
  • Oversee the implementation of new regulatory and legislative changes.

Assurance & Reporting:

  • Conduct assurance reviews and report insights to senior management and Board committees.
  • Review and enhance Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
  • Maintain regulatory obligations within central repositories.
  • Deliver regulatory training and awareness sessions to staff.
  • Support preparation of compliance and assurance reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong background in banking regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience in regulatory risk, assurance, or legal interpretation.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to simplify complex material.
  • University degree or equivalent; post-legal qualification (3+ years) preferred.
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand.
