The Company
My client is a leading non-bank property Finance lender. A privately held company who have been operating for over 20 years, this business is exceptional in terms of being entrepreneurial, fast, nimble and relationship driven. They have an enviable reputation and are continuing to grow, going from strength to strength.
The business is now entering a new phase of evolution with the owners looking to establish a senior leadership team to lead the company's future growth. Therefore we are on the hunt for a Head of Finance who can become part of the leadership team and be instrumental in driving the future growth.
The Role
You will report to the CEO and be responsible for the financial stewardship of the business as well as contributing significantly to the strategic planning, product development and organisational capability. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic insight to the CEO, Board and leadership team, including reporting, analysis and insights
- Stakeholder management and partnering
- Lead the financial planning & forecasting processes
- Develop and maintain comprehensive management reporting and insights to drive strategic decision making
- Conduct financial analysis of KPI's, trends and identify future revenue streams.
- Ad hoc scenario modelling
- Drive the long term funding strategy
- Manage the loan book end to end
- Review & sign off on AML compliance
- Financial reporting & compliance
- Ensure payroll and HR matters are attended to
- Ensure the internal controls & risk management framework are in place to appropriate standards, to ensure risks are mitigated
- Oversee the systems and process environment
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Your Profile
To be considered for this role, we are looking for an individual who can live & breathe the values and culture of this organisation. To be considered we are looking for an individual with the following attributes & skills:
- An individual who is interested in finance and operations
- CA qualified or equivalent
- High energy & passionate
- An interest in property would be advantageous
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Broad experience across all aspects of Finance and have operated at this level previously
- Proven strong stakeholder management skills
- Hands on operator who also thinks laterally
In time, there is an opportunity exists in this role to go beyond the core role of Finance. You can develop operational skills leveraging knowledge from the team and networks.
