Here at the Council, we know our strength comes from our people, working together as one team to create results. When you join our City Streets Maintenance Team, you're getting involved first hand and contributing to crafting the Christchurch community. This role is a mix of office and field work which includes auditing completed works, resolving Customer Service Requests, validating and processing contractor claims.

As a Pavement Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for the facilitation of maintenance to our road assets. Some of the key areas of accountability are:

You will have a working knowledge of reading contracts, audit methodologies, quality assurance systems, SAP, RAMM, and financial processing. Above all, you will have proven customer service skills and be able to communicate with the public about different matters. To support this, you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in roading/engineering/financial accounting discipline e.g. Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Highways), Degree
- Engineering/Accounting/Contract/Project Management or acceptable equivalent
- 7 years of practical experience in road maintenance, financial accounting and/or construction contracts

Feel like you don't meet every single requirement of the job description?
