About us
Proudly Kiwi-owned and operating since 1910, we are one of New Zealand's largest and most respected commercial construction companies. With over 900 talented people delivering 100+ projects nationwide, we are known for building exceptional spaces - and for having the right people to make it happen.
Our culture is the cornerstone of our success. At Naylor Love, you'll find an enjoyable workplace, opportunities for career growth, and exposure to some of the country's most iconic developments. We are shaping the future of construction in Aotearoa - join us today and love your job tomorrow.
At Naylor Love, we're passionate about building great things - not just the projects we deliver, but also the careers of the people who join us.
We're looking for someone early in their career, perhaps a recent graduate or someone with a few years' experience, who's ready to make their mark in construction. You don't need to know everything yet - what matters most is your writing ability, your curiosity, and your drive to learn.
The opportunity
This is your chance to bring creativity and precision together, producing high-quality bid documentation and submissions that stand out.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys collaboration, and takes pride in delivering exceptional work.
What you'll do:
- Help craft compelling bids and submissions for projects ranging from $10m to much larger
- Use your writing skills to tell the story of why Naylor Love is the right choice for our clients
- Explore new tools and approaches (including AI) to keep us sharp and innovative
- Collaborate closely with our experienced preconstruction and project teams
- What we're looking for:
- Strong written communication skills - you enjoy writing and know how to make it clear and engaging
- A quick learner who picks things up fast and enjoys problem-solving
- Someone curious, adaptable, and open to shaping the role as they grow
- Previous experience or internships (construction, communications, or related fields) are great, but not essential
You'll bring the following:
- Experience in a similar role, managing tender documentation and editorial processes
- Advanced computer skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) and confidence using Adobe and InDesign
- Ability to learn new software packages quickly
- A passion for delivering innovative solutions and building strong stakeholder relationships
- A team-focused mindset with the ability to take ownership and deliver outstanding results
Why join us?
You'll be part of a supportive team in our Christchurch office, where collaboration and culture matter just as much as skills. This role offers plenty of room to grow, with opportunities to build your career in construction while working on exciting projects across New Zealand.
About us
At Naylor Love, we know work is about more than just a job - it's about what you experience and achieve. When you join us, you'll feel the strength of our values and our belief that 'Our People are our Brand.' We support your career growth and give you opportunities to make your mark.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will have access to a wide range of other benefits including the following:
- Southern Cross medical insurance for you and your whānau (covers pre-existing conditions)
- Paid parental leave
- Access to purchase additional leave
- Annual skin checks, flu vaccinations and health checks
- Access to children's scholarships to support your tamariki undertaking construction related study
- Staff purchasing benefits
- Volunteer days to give back to your local community
- Professional development and career progression opportunities
- Access to free independent counselling and support services for you and your family
Applications close on Sunday, 16 November 2025.
