We are seeking an Advisor to support national review processes focused on improving outcomes in maternal and perinatal care. This role plays a vital part in identifying opportunities for system learning and quality improvement, with a strong emphasis on equity and cultural responsiveness.

You'll work alongside clinicians, review coordinators, data experts, and whānau to ensure review processes are thorough, consistent, and lead to meaningful change. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinicians, coordinators, and sector partners to ensure accuracy, classification and reconiliation of maternal and perinatal data.
  • Translate review findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform system-level improvements.
  • Promote the use of Māori responsive reporting tools, embedding te ao Māori into maternal and perinatal review processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across clinical, community, and whānau networks to support meaningful engagement and implementation.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in health, public health, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of maternal and perinatal health services and review processes.
  • Skilled in data quality assurance, classification systems and health equity.
  • Familiarity with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
