As our Office Services Assistant, we're looking for someone vibrant, energetic and highly capable to join our team in a role that blends assisting and supporting the daily operations by providing efficient office administration, support of the team to deliver best in class services for Council. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, managing multiple priorities, and supporting a professional team in a busy but positive environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing documentation administration with printing, copying, lamination requirements
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding office equipment and services such as stationary, mail and couriers.
  • Assisting with other general clerical duties to ensure the smooth day to day running as required.
  • Team Support - providing proactive assistance to help the team operate effectively
  • Continuous Improvement - collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities to enhance agency efficiency and effectiveness

This is a part time position (28 hours per week) across 5 days. With 5 hours per day Monday to Thursday (covering some afternoon hours) and 8 hours Friday preferred.

You will be highly organised and meticulous while working closely with our wider staff, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently.

We're looking for you to have:

  • Solid communication skills, excellent attention to detail, capability to meet deadlines, enthusiasm for staying current in the field, self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a desire to learn and grow within the role

  • Solid documentation skills and process understanding

  • Ability to stay calm and prioritise under pressure, manage priorities, and demonstrate good interpersonal abilities
