Alzheimers Marlborough is seeking an exceptional Client Services Lead to oversee all client-facing services and programmes. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role that truly matters—supporting individuals and families affected by dementia mate wareware while guiding a committed and caring team.

About the role:

As Client Services Lead, you'll be responsible for the effective delivery of all services and support offered by Alzheimers Marlborough. This includes leading and developing staff and volunteers, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring services meet the evolving needs of clients and whānau. You'll also play a key part in community engagement, sector advocacy, and promoting dementia-friendly understanding across Marlborough.

A summary of what you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage all service delivery functions, ensuring high-quality, person-led support
  • Provide professional leadership, coaching and development to staff and volunteers
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including programmes, client engagement and service coordination
  • Implement and monitor operational policies, service standards and organisational procedures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, care partners, whānau and community stakeholders
  • Raise awareness of dementia mate wareware and promote a dementia-friendly community
  • Support financial management, including monitoring budgets and contributing to fundraising initiatives
  • Ensure effective communication across the organisation, including Board reporting and team leadership

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in people leadership
  • Experience in health, social services or community support industry (or any relevant industry) would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A sound understanding of person-led, culturally responsive service delivery
  • Operational confidence, including HR, quality systems and programme oversight
  • A commitment to continuous learning, best practice and sector development
  • Passion for making a positive difference for people impacted by dementia mate wareware
