Shift Leadership and Quality Assurance
- Act as the escalation point and mentor for junior SOC staff on shift.
- Ensure quality and completeness of shift logs, incident reports, and client ticketing updates.
- Lead handovers between shifts, ensuring continuity of operations and critical case tracking.
Customer Engagement and Service Excellence
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers during and after security events.
- Participate in regular customer reporting cycles and engagement management sessions.
- Provide proactive advice to customers on emerging threats and detection improvements.
SOC Process Improvement and Collaboration
- Provide feedback on detection use cases, playbooks, and enrichment logic to Advanced Cyber Intelligence and Response Team (ACIRT).
- Identify opportunities for automation, enrichment, and SOC workflow optimisation.
- Collaborate with GRC (A&A), Pen Testing, and Cyber Consulting (Tech Consulting) functions on service enhancements.
Required skills
- 3+ years in a SOC or cyber operations environment, with at least 1 year in a senior or Tier 2 role
- Proven experience in handling and escalating critical incidents
- Strong familiarity with security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Splunk, Sentinel, Netskope), SOAR platforms, and threat hunting methodologies
- Demonstrated leadership in shift-based or operational security settings
- Experience interfacing with clients, service delivery, or MSSP environments
