We're developing AutoRoads Design, an AI-powered automation platform that accelerates road design and eliminates manual CAD workflows. With live pilots underway with major engineering consultancies and government agencies, we're entering a rapid growth phase — scaling our development, product, and operations teams to support real-world delivery.
Position SummaryWe're seeking a Business Administrator who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and is eager to take ownership across operations, development support, and office management.
You'll be deeply involved in helping the company execute pilot projects, coordinate development priorities, and ensure the wider team operates smoothly and efficiently. You'll work directly with the CEO and Technical Delivery Lead to keep our fast-growing team organized, accountable, and aligned.
- Oversee and improve daily operational workflows across development, product, and admin functions.
- Coordinate project schedules and internal programmes — ensuring deliverables are tracked, milestones met, and updates shared transparently with the wider team.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical support to company directors, including calendar management, travel coordination, and communications.
- Support finance and budgeting processes — reconciling expenses, tracking invoices, and assisting with financial reporting.
- Manage general office operations: supplier coordination, procurement, and workspace logistics.
- Help maintain company documentation, HR and compliance records, and internal databases.
- Prepare presentations, meeting summaries, and reports for directors, investors, and partners.
- Foster a positive, reliable, and high-ownership culture — ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard without the need for close supervision.
- 3 years' experience in Business Administration, Operations, or related roles.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfortable adopting new software tools quickly.
- Familiarity with startup, engineering or technology environments preferred (bonus if you've worked alongside product teams).
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive "get-it-done" attitude are essential.
