Veros is looking for someone with the right attitude and the appetite to learn and grow in the role.
We believe most technical skills can be learned. What can't be taught is grit, curiosity, and ownership. If you bring a strong work ethic, ask thoughtful questions, and stand behind your decisions, we'll invest in developing your capabilities.
If you want to be part of a high-performing team that shows up, solves problems, checks the numbers, and sees projects through from idea to on-the-ground delivery, you'll fit well here.
About the roleYou'll support our senior project leaders across a range of residential, commercial, civic, and land development projects.
The work is varied and hands on, including:
- Testing project feasibility (modelling options, sense checking the numbers, collecting data, building the financial story).
- Preparing business cases for council.
- Visiting site to monitor progress and meet with clients.
- Engaging with landowners, councils, funders and community partners.
- Gradually taking ownership of aspects of project delivery as your confidence and skills grow.
No two days are the same. That's not a challenge, it's an opportunity. To succeed, you'll need to embrace variety, manage your own workload, communicate clearly, and collaborate with our team to deliver outcomes for clients.
About VerosOur team partner with clients to plan, manage and deliver property projects, providing clear advice, commercial direction and practical solutions. From housing and land development, to retail, commercial and community facilities, we help turn ideas and plans into tangible outcomes. Our team also works across all aspects of property meaning we can support everything from shaping strategy to delivering projects on the ground. We are trusted by some of New Zealand's largest companies and councils to deliver on their property needs and add real value to a broad range of communities.
What we valueThis role is for someone who:
Is passionate about property
Communicates clearly, listens actively and shows respect to clients, consultants and colleagues.
Asks questions and seeks clarity off their own bat, rather than waiting to be prompted.
Works independently and uses sound judgement.
Takes responsibility for all parts of a project, especially the everyday tasks that keep projects moving.
Embraces learning and strives for continuous improvement.
Cares about delivering meaningful outcomes for clients and communities.
Builds authentic, lasting relationships.
Your backgroundYou don't need to have every answer right now, but you should have strong desire to be part of the property industry. What will help you succeed here includes:
· A tertiary qualification in a property-related field such as planning, engineering, surveying, finance, management, design or other.
· Post graduation experience working in a New Zealand property environment.
· Good written communication skills. We write a lot, so being comfortable drafting clear, logical and structured documents matters.
· The confidence to pick up the phone or step onto site to work with councils, contractors, landowners and advisors as you learn.
Think of these as your foundations, not a test of perfection. We're looking for someone with passion, drive, and the ability to grow quickly when backed.
What we offerIf you are wanting to be part of a high performing property team, we will back you by providing:
Exposure to real development work from day one.
Support from experienced development managers and directors.
Responsibility that grows with your pace and potential.
A hands-on team that tackles challenges and gets things done.
Flexibility around your base office (Hamilton, Tauranga or Rotorua)
The opportunity to deliver real outcomes that make a difference.
To applySend your CV and a short statement about why your attitude makes you the right fit.
We're not hiring someone that already has all the answers. We're looking for someone who will take ownership of finding them, and who is driven to make a meaningful impact along the way.
