A well-respected Christchurch architecture studio is seeking a capable Project Architect to lead commercial, mixed-use and apartment projects through all stages. You'll work directly with clients, consultants and local councils, ensuring designs meet NZ Building Code, compliance pathways and council requirements. NZ experience is essential, and we will also consider strong Senior Architectural Technicians or Senior Designers with equivalent project leadership and Revit capability.

What you'll do
  • Lead projects from concept through detailed design, documentation and site observation
  • Produce accurate Revit documentation aligned with NZ Building Code, local bylaws and council lodgement requirements
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors and council officers
  • Manage RFIs, consenting processes, PS1–PS4 documentation and QA reviews
  • Mentor junior staff and support best-practice NZIA standards
What you'll bring
  • NZ-registered Architect OR experienced Senior Technician / Senior Designer
  • Minimum 4–6 years' NZ experience in commercial and/or multi-unit residential projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NZBC, council consenting, specifications and construction detailing
  • Advanced Revit skills with experience delivering full documentation packages
  • Confident communicator able to lead clients and manage multiple project phases
