The Opportunity
Kickstart your career in agricultural technology with Gallagher As a Farmote Project Support Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting innovative projects that make farm life easier and more profitable. This 6-month fixed-term role is perfect for students looking to develop skills in project coordination, data analysis, and operational support while working alongside a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
The working hours for this role are 20 – 30 hours per week.
In This Role You Will
- Support project documentation, tracking, and implementation activities
- Collect, organise, and perform basic analysis of field and operational data
- Coordinate with internal teams on manufacturing, logistics, and operations
- Use Farmote tools and systems to maintain accurate records
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders
- Assist with knowledge transfer and process documentation
- Some travel across New Zealand may be required
Who You Are
You're a driven ag student or recent graduate looking to grow your skills in a hands-on role that blends technology, data, and farming innovation.
You're Also
- Currently enrolled in an AgBusiness or Agronomy degree program
- Comfortable working on farms and performing a variety of hands-on tasks.
- Curious and motivated to learn about agricultural technology and operations
- A strong communicator with solid organisational and time management skills
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Comfortable with basic data analysis and agricultural practices
- A practical problem-solver with strong fault-finding skills and experience working with software, electronic, and mechanical systems, would be advantageous.
- Be highly pragmatic and adaptable to changing priorities and directions.
- Hold a valid New Zealand driver's license
