Are you ready to support impactful infrastructure projects that shape the city's growth and resilience? We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our high-performing Design & Deliver team. With over 60 passionate professionals, we're driving the delivery of critical infrastructure that supports our vibrant and growing community. In this role, you'll support our Project Manager on a range of capital projects from new developments to upgrades of existing assets ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Ideally you might have experience within Waters, Transport, Vertical Infrastructure.
We're seeking someone with these types of skills, experience and attitude. Ideally you may have:
- Some previous experience in an Assistant Project Management role; Or a tertiary qualification in Project Management and / or Civil Engineering and even Project Management accreditation (for example, Prince2 or PMP); Or willing to work towards them.
- Some understanding and experience of programme, financial and risk management.
- Any experience supporting small, medium and / or large scale (million-dollar+) capital delivery projects.
- Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work hard while understanding balancing that with positive team culture and collegiality.
- A team player is a must

- A natural organiser with a detail-oriented and analytical mind
- Some experience in civil infrastructure project delivery, vertical infrastructure project delivery
- Some prior experience in project planning, scheduling or coordination
- Familiarity with Project tools (Excel, MS Project etc)
- Stakeholder management skills and experience.
- Proven oral and written skills
- Makes effective and timely decisions under pressure and thinks and manages clearly during times of rapid change.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet multiple deadlines.
- Understanding of Health and Safety Law and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Current clean driver's license.
