Performance Marketing Manager (Fixed-Term, starting December 2025)

Location: Auckland, NZ | Hybrid (3 days in office)

We're Blackpepper, a leading NZ-owned digital agency partnering with some of the country's biggest retail brands.

We're now on the hunt for a Digital Marketing Performance Manager to join us on a ~15 month fixed-term maternity cover (with potential to go permanent) We're looking for someone who's as comfortable building campaigns as they are building relationships.

What You'll Do

You'll be the driving force behind our clients' digital growth, running paid search and social campaigns that deliver measurable impact. You'll combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and collaborate closely with our in-house team across SEO, design, and development.

  • Develop, launch, and optimise high-performing campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Confidently manage Performance Max campaigns and other campaign types across different channels.
  • Translate insights into strategy i.e. turning data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Build strong client relationships and lead monthly strategy and reporting sessions.
  • Stay ahead of trends, test new ideas, and push boundaries in the performance space.
  • Take full ownership of your clients' paid media results ensuring growth and ROI.

What You'll Bring

You're a performance marketer who knows how to get results and make complex things simple. Ideally, you've spent 3+ years in an agency and have a proven track record running campaigns for retail or eCommerce brands.

  • Hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns end-to-end.
  • Expertise in Performance Max, shopping feeds, tracking, and data layers.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills. You live inside Google Analytics, Search Console, and Looker Studio.
  • A proactive, strategic thinker with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.
  • Available to work three days per week from our Auckland office.
  • Ready to start December 2025.
