Materials Handling Sales Specialist

Of course, if you already have equipment/materials handling sales experience, we also want to hear from you A rare opportunity*The position entails selling a quality brand of forklifts across both internal combustion and electric forklifts used in warehousing, logistics, and cool-store environments. Training will be provided.

• Business-to-business sales
• Identifying potential clients
• Approaching clients directly in person, through promotional campaigns, and via phone
• Assessing requirements and needs for materials handling equipment
• Developing relationships
• Preparing sales documentation and, where required, financing arrangements
• The position is essentially a territory sales role
• Demonstrating machine capabilities - once again you will be trained in relation to this
• Follow up and ongoing nurturing of accounts

*The skills and background you need*The following skills reflect the calibre of talent the employer is wanting to attract:

• Direct sales skills related to the motor industry, including those dealing with finance and insurance, vehicle sales in a franchise environment, or equipment/materials handling sales
• The role does involve direct B2B sales - if you are uncomfortable with approaching businesses directly, this role may not be for you. There is as strong a focus on direct sales as there is with relationship development, so you need to be prepared to get out there and make it happen
• An attention to detail with knowledge of finance and ideally, although not necessarily, leasing too
• A strong internal drive to succeed
• Professionalism
• Powerful communication and relationship building skills
• The role is considered suitable for either male or female F&I or vehicle sales professionals who would consider a change to a new sector of the motor industry, or those who already have equipment/materials handling sales experience
• You need to have NZ working rights (i.e., hold NZ Residency or Citizenship). Unfortunately, unless you already have a materials handling sales background, offshore applications will not be considered

• A Monday to Friday, five-day working week - no work on weekends or public holidays
• A market-related base salary with performance-based incentives
• A dedicated company car for both company and personal use with fuel. No need to constantly change your drive car
• Reasonable flexibility with occasional hybrid days
