An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager (2IC) to join our leadership team at odd saint, someone ready to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and support the Venue Manager in bringing out the very best in both the team and the venue.
The RoleAs Assistant Manager (2IC), you'll play a key role in supporting the Venue Manager across all areas of operations and service. You'll lead from the front, set the tone for exceptional guest experiences, and help ensure that every detail runs smoothly, from the floor to the back office.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the buzz of service, can think on their feet, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of hospitality and teamwork.
What You'll Do- Lead & Support: Assist the Venue Manager in leading, coaching, and motivating a high-performing team, stepping up to lead shifts and drive service standards.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily service flow and floor operations, ensuring smooth transitions between service periods.
- Guest Experience: Deliver warm, energetic, and memorable experiences that showcase the unique spirit of odd saint.
- Financial Awareness: Support with stock control, ordering, cost management, and accurate reporting.
- Compliance & Standards: Uphold company policies, health & safety, liquor licensing, and food safety standards at all times.
- Rosters & Resources: Assist with roster planning and daily team allocation to meet operational needs effectively.
- Team Development: Mentor junior staff, helping them grow in confidence and skill through strong example and clear communication.
You'll be a confident, capable leader who's passionate about hospitality and thrives on creating great experiences for both guests and your team.
You'll bring:
- Previous leadership experience in a hospitality environment (coffee knowledge is a bonus)
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to jump into service when needed
- A proactive attitude; always looking for ways to improve systems, service, and team performance
- Confidence working under pressure and making quick, effective decisions
- A genuine love for people and hospitality
