TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:

We're looking for a dynamic Sport Entertainment Manager to increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. To entertain with purpose, elevate the everyday, and create the kind of content that makes fans lean in.

As Sports Entertainment Manager, you'll lead Sky Sport's entertainment slate — from iconic shows like The Crowd Goes Wild and League Lounge with Shaun Johnson, to whatever bold, clever, heartfelt idea you've been dying to make next

Key responsibilities will include:

· Lead and evolve Sky's sports entertainment shows across TV, digital and social.

· Commission new ideas that make sports more fun, more relatable, and more Kiwi.

· Manage top-tier creative talent — both on-screen and behind the scenes.

· Bring editorial clarity, wit, and edge to every project.

· Reimagine entertainment for each platform — from Sky Go to YouTube to TikTok.

· Champion creativity, collaboration and cultural authenticity in everything we do.

ESSENTIAL

The ideal candidate is creative, possesses a sharp attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting. You understand the power of connecting with audiences and what makes kiwis tick.

Together with this you will bring:

· You've got 10+ years in sports or entertainment production and a proven record of leading creative teams that punch above their weight.

· You know how to balance humour and heart, and how to turn good ideas into must-watch moments.

· You live and breathe visual storytelling — writing scripts, shaping segments, or coaching talent comes naturally. You understand tone, pacing and rhythm, and you know what it takes to make content stick in a world of short attention spans.

· You're equal parts leader, curator and showrunner — someone who can set a vision, rally a team, and deliver something exceptional every week.

PREFERRED

Experience working in the sports and/or media industry.

· A successful track record of delivering content and shows with broad national appeal.
