Here’s your next career move then as we’re after a dynamic, motivated journalist to join the Entertainment team in the NZME newsroom.

This role as a junior/intermediate level digital journalist will help create unique content and drive audience engagement across all our platforms. As a team, we are responsible for all daily entertainment coverage across digital and work closely with print and radio teams.

Your role will include identifying and breaking entertainment news stories, producing digital stories, and interviewing local and international entertainment figures. You will also be writing opinion pieces with the added opportunity to also write longer form features for our various platforms To be successful you’ll need 2+ years in an entertainment-focused role, strong news judgement, a recognised journalism qualification and experience in digital content management systems. You will have proven entertainment industry contacts and must be comfortable in multimedia environments (print, digital and radio).

Editing experience, Photoshop and video production or radio skills/experience are a definite bonus but not essential.
