Intermediate Digital Consultant - Data Analyst

Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Join Beca's Digital Services team helping to support ongoing growth, working directly with our clients to solve real-world, complex, and unique problems to make every day better. You will be joining a team that delivers multidisciplinary digital solutions using a variety of configurable, bespoke and spatial tools. Our digital products and services team have over 60 people who deliver our external facing digital solutions, with a diverse team with skills in consulting, data analytics, project management, business analysis, GIS, software development and digital transformation.
You will play a key role in the delivery of projects. You will be recognized as a data management and modelling expert, with input into how our clients can improve their capture, management, interpretation, analysis and presentation of data to aid in the management of their assets and businesses. You will provide insight and knowledge across data analysis, integration of datasets, data management, and presentation, delivering useable insights to end users. You will have scope to innovate and be creative with solutions and work directly with clients to understand what insights will truly improve their operations. A key aspect of the role is your ability to apply your analytical, problem solving and creative skills to develop client needs and translate that into ways to improve their operations.
This role will enable you to apply your data visualisation, data analytics, and data science skills in a real-world setting, helping with solutions that directly help our clients and communities both in New Zealand and globally.

We are looking for client facing individuals who have experience delivering data solutions. You will enjoy working across different projects, industries, and disciplines to discover and present data insights. You will be curious, solution focused, and be able to work with others to create clarity from ambiguity.

Your background or qualifications may be in computer science, statistical analysis, data management, economics, finance, government, consulting, engineering, or software development. You will have demonstrated experience in integration and analysis of complex datasets and the development of visualisation tools.

- Experience in the use of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar
- Experience in data management and data analysis languages such as SQL, Python or R or similar.
- Experience applying statistical analysis, machine learning or data science to find business insights.
- Experience in the use of Azure cloud services and the Microsoft stack for data management and analysis e.g., Power BI, Data Factory, Synapse.
