Service Deli Manager

We are looking for a leader that leads by example with an excellent work ethic and professional conduct, strong time management and communication skills, someone who enjoys planning, organizing, and managing the day-to-day operation of our Deli Department.  Our Deli Manager plays a vital role in ensuring our customers have access to a premium range of products, is a team player and "will roll their sleeves up, to get the job completed".

We are a very busy Deli with a lot going on.  The Deli Manager is responsible for making daily decisions regarding the preparation of Deli products, assigning daily tasks to the team, ensuring production is achieved to a high standard every day.  Upskilling and training new and existing staff, ordering, stock management and leading by example.

This is a full-time position, specific hours to be discussed at the interview.  New World Gardens operates 7 days a week with shift patterns to include one weekend day.

OUR IDEAL SERVICE DELI MANAGER WILL HAVE:

  • Proven leadership, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Previous management experience in a supermarket or similar setting would be an advantage
  • A high level of computer skills, including Excel & Rostering
  • Awesome customer service skills
  • Proven Health & Safety/Food Safety compliance experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
