ME Family Services is inviting three experienced, passionate Social Workers to join our kaupapa-driven team in Māngere from January 2026. This is an opportunity to work alongside whānau, schools, and community partners to strengthen pathways for tamariki and families to thrive.

Your focus will be on:

  • Delivering community-based, family-led social work support.
  • Providing strong advocacy for individuals and families.
  • Developing and leading group work to meet identified needs within the community.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly effective at building rapport and partnerships within multicultural settings, especially with Māori and Pacific Island communities.
  • A natural at developing strong, supportive relationships with families.
  • Confident and knowledgeable about navigating the education system.
  • Self-starting and takes ownership of their work.
  • Skilled in assessing whānau strengths and needs to create collaborative, whānau-led plans.
  • Committed to building and maintaining professional networks that support positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Open to learning, adaptable, and a strong team player.
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB).
  • Holds a current driver's license and has access to their own vehicle.
