We're opening a brand-new flagship Habitat for Humanity ReStore in New Plymouth, and we need a passionate, creative leader to make it shine This is your chance to shape the store from the ground up—from layout and vibe to building a team of staff and volunteers who share your enthusiasm.

About us
Habitat for Humanity Central Region is a charity and Community Housing Provider with a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We support people to buy, repair, or rent a place to call home in communities from the Waikato through to Wellington.
Our ReStores are more than op-shops—they're vibrant community hubs where pre-loved treasures find new homes, landfill is reduced, and vital funds are raised to support our mission.
The role
Lead the launch of our flagship store – be involved in the full setup process.
Create a space that reflects your vision – plenty of scope for creativity.
Recruit and inspire your dream team – staff and volunteers who share your passion.
Drive sales and donations, deliver an amazing customer experience, and keep the store buzzing.
This is a 30-hour per week role, with occasional weekend work. A criminal record check and full, permanent legal right to work in NZ are required.
About you
5+ years retail or logistics leadership experience – you know how to motivate, mentor, and inspire.
Creative thinker – you love designing spaces and experiences that wow customers.
Excellent communicator – professional, approachable, and great at building relationships.
Organised and detail-focused – you can manage admin, budgets, and compliance with ease.
Sales savvy – you know how to keep stock moving and maximise income.
Community-minded – you'll recruit and retain volunteers, matching their skills to tasks daily.
Tech confident – Office 365 and cloud-based systems are second nature.
Health & safety and financial management experience essential.
Knowledge of charity retail is a bonus, but not required.
