The Role:

As our Planner/Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth
delivery of our work programmes and operational plans. You will be responsible
for coordinating resources, managing schedules, supporting project and
maintenance teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest
standards.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling resources effectively to
achieve the overall work programme and meet budgeted outcomes. You will
identify any utilisation issues and coordinate timely resolutions, while
producing and maintaining a minimum four-month rolling schedule, or longer
where possible, in line with Northpower and our client's requirements. The role
includes managing multiple operational plans to ensure alignment with
organisational objectives, leading weekly resource coordination meetings with
key stakeholders, and collaborating with Field Managers to optimise the
utilisation of field staff. You will also manage outage requests and processes
to minimise operational disruption, plan a four-month work programme, and
ensure all team members have allocated jobs to maintain workflow efficiency.

Experience:

We are seeking candidates with strong experience in planning and scheduling,
ideally within utilities or infrastructure. Exceptional organisational and
time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate
multiple stakeholders and resources effectively. The ideal candidate is
proactive, solution-focused, and able to work well under pressure, with
excellent communication and teamwork skills. Intermediate-level Excel skills or
above are also required, with the ability to use spreadsheets effectively for
scheduling, reporting, and data analysis. In terms of performance delivery, you
will ensure all operational, regulatory, and our client requirements are met or
exceeded, achieve and surpass performance targets and operational goals, and
apply problem-solving skills to implement effective solutions promptly.
