If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Materials Planner Reporting to the Category Planner -Salty, this full time, permanent role is based at our iconic Wiri manufacturing plant.

Here at Griffin's Snacks, we're proud of our heritage and being New Zealand's largest snack food company, producing many iconic kiwi brands, including Griffin's, Huntley and Palmers, ETA and Nice & Natural. At our Wiri plant we produce our muesli, protein and nut bars and we're also the home of the Ripples, Uppercuts, Kettle Chip Company and Snackachangi potato chip ranges.

We are seeking an experienced Material Planner. This position plays a pivotal role in leveraging the strategic partnership with suppliers to ensure procurement requirements are met within requirements of quality delivery and cost.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who can foster strong connections by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, external suppliers. Your ability to build genuine rapport ensures smooth execution of the materials plan, as you seamlessly integrate efforts across departments to achieve the shared goals.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule and inventory records in SAP.
• Evaluate the accuracy of item master records – monthly master data reviews.
• Ensuring inventory goals and objectives are met and effectively manage surplus and obsolete inventories.
• Ensuring uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer service.
• Supporting with NPD projects - manage all requirements to make projects successful.
• Managing lead times and resolving any supply chain disruptions swiftly.
• Supporting your teammates and contributing to the overall success of the materials planning function.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/ logistics or similar will be of advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant planning or materials planning experience
• Previous experience in supply chain / FMCG/ manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experienced with ERP systems, and experience with SAP is an extra tick.
• Highly organised with effective planning and prioritising skills.
• Ability to problem solve with a proactive approach to the resolution/escalation of issues.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship building skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
• A real drive for results, respond quickly and work under pressure – yet able to have fun and a laugh with the team
• Confidence in Microsoft Office programmes i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Resilience, positivity, and a solutions-focused approach- you see road bumps as a challenge, not a disaster
