Korero mo te turanga - About the role
We're looking for a Data Governance Manager to lead the way in building strong data foundations that enable insight-driven decision-making across our organisation. This is a pivotal role where you'll develop and implement data governance and information management strategies, uplift data maturity, and ensure our data is trusted, secure, and compliant.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and delivery of NZ Post's data governance framework and roadmap.
- Drive improvements in data quality, metadata management, and classification standards.
- Oversee information management practices, including lifecycle management and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to embed governance and fluency.
- Coach and inspire a small team while contributing to our Data & Enterprise Architecture leadership group.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will be well into your Data Governance career journey and looking for your next step. You'll be keen to be part of a highly engaged and collaborative team who are connected right across our business and achieving amazing things.
The key skills and attributes that we are looking for include:
- Proven experience in data governance and information management within large, complex environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of data governance tools (Informatica experience is a plus).
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
- A growth mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and ideally certifications in data governance or information management.
