Our vision is to be New Zealand's best project partner, and we see the role of Estimator as key to driving this success in our Central North Island Region.  Ideally you would be based in our Taupo office, but we would also consider our Rotorua office as your base.

About the role

In this role, you will manage and assist the quantity surveying and job costing based tasks in as well as being involved in the production processes, from projects, pricing of houses and price enquiries from Sales Consultants, including supporting tender and contract submissions.  You will also get quotes on jobs and put this into our production system to run orders for construction to begin. At times you will be required to assist in launching new projects and support the monitoring costs for the duration of the build. This role provides support to the Managing Director, Finance, Construction and Production team.

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of and experience in all aspects of the building industry, preferably construction / estimating /QS based background;
  • An enthusiastic "can do" attitude, with strong self-drive and motivation;
  • A high level of time and process management skills, ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results on time;
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, particularly with contractors and suppliers;
  • Attention to detail, and an appetite for continuous process improvement;
  • Strong technology skills and confidence in learning new systems;
  • QS take-off and measure software (such as Bluebeam);
  • Experience in CRM and data management systems;
  • Sound construction product knowledge;
  • An ability to interpret and comment on construction drawings;
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • You must be a team player and be able to work well with others.
