Working closely with our Generation Development and Asset Delivery teams, you'll play a central role in transforming bold renewable ideas into operational assets. Reporting to our Head of Asset Delivery, you'll guide project engineers, partner with consultants and contractors, and help build a strong internal capability that will shape the next phase of New Zealand's energy future.

Please note this is a permanent fulltime role that can be based either at our Hamilton or Auckland office.

You're a trusted technical leader who thrives on turning complex challenges into well-executed projects. You understand every stage of the project lifecycle from early concept and design to construction and commissioning, driving delivery through strategic insight and technical excellence. You take pride in developing people, refining processes, and ensuring every asset adds lasting value to the business.

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven success in leading technical workstreams and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across complex major projects
  • Strong understanding of power generation technology, BESS, renewables, and New Zealand's electricity market
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and complex project interfaces
  • Familiarity with Transpower's grid connection and commissioning requirements
