About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Harvest Manager to join our team at PF Olsen Ltd in Gisborne, East Coast. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our Harvesting management operations. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to health and safety.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement Harvesting plans to meet production targets and ensure optimal utilisation of harvesting resources
  • Manage and coordinate crews, including monitoring performance, providing guidance and training, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Liaise with landowners, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless coordination of harvesting activities
  • Monitored and analyse data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions
  • Ensure that all harvesting operations are conducted in compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and the company's policies and procedures
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the sustainability of our harvesting operations

What we're looking for

  • Experience (3+ years) in a similar role within the Harvesting industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in harvesting operations, including the use of specialized equipment and machinery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in data analysis and the use of relevant software and technology to support decision-making
  • Commitment to health and safety, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining robust safety protocols
  • Can demonstrate a strong understanding of the environmental standards expected across the East Coast region.
