Agricultural Worker

We are seeking a highly capable and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Agricultural and Horticultural division manager on our family operated farm in Gisborne.

Reporting directly to the farm owner this position requires the successful applicant to have a sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of arable and vegetable crop production.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a diverse and practical range of farming skills and machinery operations, harvest management, a sound knowledge in Agronomy, and a high level of supervisory qualities and management experience.

Must:

- Have a minimum of two years experience operating and maintaining large agricultural machinery.
- Have a minimum two years experience operating self-guided GPS Autosteer systems.
- Have, or be willing to obtain Forklift, Wheels, and any other appropriate licences and endorsements.
- Have, or be willing to obtain Growsafe and Approved Handler certification.
- Hold a valid class C licence and have reliable transport.
- Have a positive attitude, the ability to work within a team environment, have a high regard for the employers property, and have a passion for Agriculture.

Hours on average are 40 per week but may vary throughout the season. Some weekend work will be expected. This is a full-time, long-term position and offers opportunities of growth working within a privately owned business for the right individual.

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
