The Senior Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the strategic goals at Te Kura through the delivery of high-quality analysis, insights, and evidence-based advice. By leveraging Te Kura's data assets and working collaboratively across teams, the role ensures that data informs decisions that improve teaching and learning, enhance ākonga engagement and wellbeing, and ultimately support ākonga success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to strategic planning, reporting, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supports a culture of data literacy and evidence use across Te Kura.
  • Supports organisational capability and readiness to meet emerging needs and opportunities within the New Zealand education and public sector context.

It is expected that the successful appointee will be:

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Power BI expertise. Confident in DAX and Power Query.
  • Cloud and platform fluency with experience with Microsoft Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory) and Power Platform.
