PMO People is a specialist consultancy supporting organisations with high-impact transformation, regulatory, and commercial change programmes. We partner with large, complex businesses across New Zealand to provide experienced project, change, and analysis professionals who can deliver with confidence.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Manager to support a significant regulatory and commercial reform programme within a large, complex national organisation. This role sits at the heart of a fast-paced, high-stakes initiative with a fixed external deadline, requiring strong leadership across change strategy, stakeholder engagement, and implementation planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the change management strategy for a large-scale compliance programme
  • Partner closely with project leads, SMEs, and senior stakeholders to understand impacts, align on requirements, and drive readiness
  • Identify organisational, process, and behavioural impacts resulting from new code requirements
  • Develop and deliver communications, training, and engagement materials
  • Support change risk identification and mitigation, and ensure progress is tracked against tight timeframes
  • Champion adoption across diverse business units to ensure seamless transition by the mandated deadline

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Change Manager on large, regulatory, compliance, or transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience delivering structured change across complex, multi-site or multi-function environments
  • Skilled in impact assessment, change planning, communications, and readiness reporting
  • Adaptable, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in an ambiguous and evolving environment

Contract Details

  • 6-month contract
  • Immediate start
  • Competitive daily rate
  • Working on-site in Christchurch with some flexibility
