PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide hands-on leadership, coordination, and structure to daily production operations, ensuring readiness, flow, and communication across all manufacturing areas.

The Production Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that every batch starts on time with the correct materials, labels, documentation, and equipment prepared. The role actively supports the Production Manager by maintaining discipline, consistency, and performance on the production floor, while working alongside operators to deliver daily output, quality, and compliance targets.

This role plays a key part in restoring a proactive, performance-driven culture within the factory.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Daily Co-ordination & Readiness

· Lead daily production meetings and communicate shift priorities.

· Verify that all raw materials, labels, and packaging are ready and correct before production starts at least two weeks in advance alongside the production schedule.

· Complete daily readiness checklists and escalate issues immediately.

· Ensure rooms and equipment are clean, setup and compliant prior to production.

· Spend approximately half of the role on production line operations bottling, encapsulation, tableting, softgel manufacturing, and blending and the remaining half providing administrative and operational support.

  • 100% of daily batches start on schedule with full readiness sign-off.
  • Zero unplanned stoppages due to missing materials, labels, or documentation.
  • Improved communication between Production, Warehouse, and QA.
  • Reduction in downtime and rework incidents.
  • RMP and safety compliance maintained to audit standard.
  • Positive engagement and teamwork on the production floor.
