This is a great opportunity to develop your sales career with NZ's leading golf and turfcompany. Parkland specializes in premium golf & turf products including TORO, Rain, Plant Fitness, Heron & IRRInet. Our mission is to provide customers with the absolute best products and services to create premium turf performance and appearance. Major customers include leading golf clubs, local government, contractors, landscapers, vineyards and nationwide big box retailers.

As Irrigation Sales Development Representative, you will spend the majority of your day exploring for new leads, meeting clients and selling our products and services. You will assist with client events, promotions, sponsorships and field days. Whilst not on the road, you will spend your time planning ahead, checking client satisfaction and organizing future meetings.

About the role and day to day activity

  • Plan call cycles and sales strategies
  • Build business by contacting and calling on existing and potential clients.
  • Place orders (usually supplied from DC in Auckland)
  • Client service including technical support (with the help of technical staff)
  • Client and support staff training (with the help of technical staff)
  • Organize and help deliver client events, promotions and field days.
  • Monitor and report on opportunities, sales and competitor activity.

Skills and experience

  • Proven field sales experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • A knowledge and passion for golf, turf & irrigation
  • Ability to relate to clients, build trust and identify opportunities
  • A positive "can do / how do we make this work" approach to life
  • Solid analytical and decision making skills
  • Scrupulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work to a budget and timeline
  • Full, clean drivers license

Golf experience would be valuable although not essential as training will be provided.
