A Day in the Life
As the
Medical Communications Manager
, you will report directly to the
NZ Dermatological Beauty Market Director
and be a key member of the L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) team in New Zealand. Your role is pivotal in providing communication services for medical education, training initiatives, and translating clinical research into impactful content that enables our field organisation to deliver powerful product value propositions.

  • Medical Strategy & Content: Leverage and adapt materials from our ANZ Hub to deliver compelling medical communications, including advisory board presentations, webinars, conference symposiums, and resources for our field teams.
  • Localisation & Enablement: Prepare and localise content across various touchpoints such as information leaflets, medical training programs, EDM newsletters, and videos to support our New Zealand strategy.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate internally with the wider medical peer group (including medical relations, education, and training), marketing, and sales teams to support key outcomes of awareness, adoption, and loyalty among healthcare professionals (HCPs) and consumers.
  • Campaign Management: Work closely with the Medical Communications Hub team to stay aligned on upcoming product launches and campaigns, and design/build B2B events and campaigns for HCPs.
  • Field Sales Support: Enable the field sales organisation to achieve its objectives by sourcing and adapting evidence-based product pitches, sales visit aids, and compelling storytelling assets.

We Are Looking For
You are curious, rigorous, and adept at turning complex scientific information into engaging and impactful content. You have a strong ability to build campaigns and are commercially astute.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Scientific Acumen: A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Applied Science, Pharmacy, Dermal Therapy, or Medical Sciences) and a strong understanding of the scientific principles behind skin conditions.
  • Medical Communication: Proven ability to interpret clinical data and translate scientific information into engaging content for various audiences.
  • Campaign & Event Management: Strong experience in building and delivering targeted HCP marketing or education campaigns.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Awareness: An awareness of the relevant guidelines and regulations in New Zealand.
