Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity

As Communications Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing Fonterra's corporate reputation. You'll partner with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to deliver proactive and reactive communications that support our strategy and connect meaningfully with farmers, employees, the New Zealand public, and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for a strong writer with a proactive attitude, who can source leads from across our Co-op and turn them into impactful, engaging stories.

This role has a focus on innovation and technology story-telling, so a curious mindset is important. Technical, scientific, or B2B writing experience would be a bonus, as would exposure to listed or regulated companies.

You'll be responsible for:

* Developing and executing internal and external communications plans for key projects.

* Crafting engaging content across channels, aligned with our strategic priorities.

* Supporting senior leaders with profile-building, including social media and media engagement.

* Contributing to financial results communications and other corporate announcements.

* Identifying and mitigating reputational risks in alignment with our governance frameworks.

Mōu | About You

You're a confident and collaborative communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With a strong background in corporate communications, you know how to craft compelling narratives, manage reputational risk, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

You bring:

* A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or a related field.

* 5+ years' experience in corporate communications or a similar role.

* Excellent writing skills and a sharp eye for detail.

* Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.

* Digital savvy and the ability to interpret insights to inform communications.

* A team-first attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to shared success.
