About us:

Spectacularly located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, Rosewood Matakauri offers luxury lodge accommodation in Queenstown and looks out to a mesmerizing panorama of the big three; The Remarkables, Cecil and Walter Peak. Just seven minutes from bustling Queenstown, this is an alpine, lakeside retreat, nestled in one of the world's most strikingly beautiful landscapes. With clean lines in glass, stone and timber, Matakauri's own take on luxury is understated and welcoming, embracing guests and championing the mountainscape.

What you will do:

We take pride in the presentation and cleanliness of our beautiful property. Our Housekeeping Associates have an important role when it comes to creating memorable experiences for our guests. The duties include:

  • Cleaning of rooms, including making beds, replacing linen, disinfecting surfaces, and vacuuming.

  • Cleaning and tidying of public areas, including the lobby and public toilets.

  • Re-stocking supplies, including linen and cleaning supplies.

  • Other cleaning duties including cleaning of carpets, upholstered furniture, and polishing furniture.

  • Taking pride in the appearance of the property.

What you will bring:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for service delivery and the hospitality industry

  • Cleaning experience, ideally in a 4/5-star Hotel/Resort environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills

  • Flexibility - able to work shifts, including weekends

Due our private and remote location, you will need to have your own reliable transport. You will also need a
valid working holiday visa or New Zealand work rights to apply.
