The Opportunity

We are searching for an experienced Bar Manager to join our team Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, operational oversight, and service quality of the bar. We are seeking someone who is passionate about beverages and can develop, train and create world-class drinks. Ideally, you will have 3+ years experience in a bar management role, with great wine, cocktail and spirit knowledge, costing and financial acumen experience, excellent sales skills, and a passion for delivering high levels of customer service.

You will be working full-time hours, with a minimum 30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday rostered shifts.

Pay rate will be between $30–$34.00 per hour, depending on experience.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Venue Manager and senior team to shape our drinks offering, from seasonal cocktails to new product choices.
  • Looking after all things stock — ordering, receiving, rotating, and keeping track of stock levels and costs.
  • Making sure the bar runs safely and meets all health, safety, and alcohol licensing requirements.
  • Leading and supporting the bar team, helping train new staff, and ensuring great service on every shift.
  • Taking care of bar setups for bookings, events, and private functions so everything runs smoothly.
  • Checking in with guests to make sure they're enjoying the drinks and overall experience.
  • Keeping an eye on RSA requirements and making sure any incidents are recorded properly.
  • Helping promote bar specials, events, and anything that brings good energy and more guests through the door.
  • Working closely with the kitchen and floor teams to keep service flowing well.
