Te Tūranga - The Role
Stockyards Supervisor - Seasonal Role
This role will be Sunday to Thursday, 3.30pm – 12pm or as departmental required, winter hours will vary.
- Oversee the daily operations of the stockyards, including livestock receival, movements, and flow to processing areas.
- Ensure full compliance with animal welfare requirements, MPI regulations, and company procedures.
- Lead, coach, and support stockyard staff to maintain safe and effective livestock handling practices.
- Coordinate with Livestock Transporters, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure accurate scheduling and stock availability.
- Maintain accurate livestock records, traceability documentation, and welfare checks.
- Monitor yard conditions, equipment, and infrastructure, escalating issues as required.
- Champion a strong safety culture through hazard management, safe handling techniques, and continuous improvement.
We are also looking for Further Processing Supervisor - Permanent role
This role will Monday to Friday with Saturdays as required.
- Oversee daily operations within the Further Processing area to ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer specifications are achieved.
- Lead, coach, and support staff to maintain high performance, correct handling, and safe work practices.
- Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet daily production plans.
- Monitor product quality, food safety, and compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability and documentation standards are met.
- Identify issues with equipment, processes, or workflow and ensure timely resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality.

- Is reliable and able to work shift work
- Can maintain the necessary level of physical and mental fitness required to perform the role in a safety sensitive environment.
