Alliance Group has an exciting opportunity for experienced Supervisors to contribute to the Lorneville Plant team in Invercargill.

Te Tūranga - The Role

Stockyards Supervisor - Seasonal Role

This role will be Sunday to Thursday, 3.30pm – 12pm or as departmental required, winter hours will vary.

• Oversee the daily operations of the stockyards, including livestock receival, movements, and flow to processing areas.
• Ensure full compliance with animal welfare requirements, MPI regulations, and company procedures.
• Lead, coach, and support stockyard staff to maintain safe and effective livestock handling practices.
• Coordinate with Livestock Transporters, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure accurate scheduling and stock availability.
• Maintain accurate livestock records, traceability documentation, and welfare checks.
• Monitor yard conditions, equipment, and infrastructure, escalating issues as required.
• Champion a strong safety culture through hazard management, safe handling techniques, and continuous improvement.

We are also looking for Further Processing Supervisor - Permanent role

This role will Monday to Friday with Saturdays as required.

• Oversee daily operations within the Further Processing area to ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer specifications are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and support staff to maintain high performance, correct handling, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet daily production plans.
• Monitor product quality, food safety, and compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability and documentation standards are met.
• Identify issues with equipment, processes, or workflow and ensure timely resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality.

• Knowledge of NZ Animal Welfare legislation and requirements
• Is a natural problem solver
• Is trustworthy and reliable and enjoys working in a team
• Has sound computer skills
• Is reliable and able to work shift work
• Can maintain the necessary level of physical and mental fitness required to perform the role in a safety sensitive environment.
