Position: Receptionist/Administrator

Location: New Plymouth, Taranaki

Employment Type: 4 days per week, 32 hours.

Start Date: 1 December 2026 or near date.

About Us:

Skin Clinic Taranaki is a leading provider of skin cancer detection and treatment in the region. We pride ourselves on delivering expert care in a warm, professional environment. Our team are passionate about skin health, and we're looking for a friendly, capable individual to join our reception team.

The Role:

You'll be the first point of contact for our patients and a vital support to our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and manage check-ins
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate bookings
  • Handle phone and email enquiries
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing
  • General office administration

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in medical reception or a closely related role.
  • Previous experience with Medtech Evolution would be advantageous
  • Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with people
  • Compassionate, reliable, and well-organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using computer systems and managing administrative tasks
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive environment
  • Culturally aware and respectful of patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Able to work under direction and follow instructions
