**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Reporting to the SHED Clinical Coordinator, this 12 month fixed term role (to backfill a secondment) will contribute to our mahi to protect the communities of Tāmaki Makaurau from notifiable and infectious diseases and environmental events.

The Surveillance Health Environment and Disease (SHED) team are responsible for triaging and managing notifications of notifiable diseases and environmental events. SHED is a multidisciplinary team comprised of Medical Officers, Public Health Nurses, Health Protection officers and Surveillance Support Officers (SSO’s).

The SHED Team administrator role forms part of the SHED team providing administration tasks to support efficient and effective operations of SHED. This includes receiving and triaging calls that come into ARPHS ensuring phones are covered during business hours. This role also provides support to the SHED Clinical coordinator with reporting and presentations, document management and quality management. The role is predominately based in SHED and will support administration more broadly across the CDC team. This is an opportunity to bring your outstanding administration skills, excellent customer service skills, strong relationship building skills and positive attitude to be part of a passionate and supportive team.

In this full time role your amazing attention to detail and communication techniques are needed to provide effective and efficient administration support to a team including day-to-day customer service to callers and external stakeholders.

The Communicable Disease Team at ARPHS provides services to manage and prevent infectious diseases such as measles and tuberculosis and other notifiable disease outbreaks. The Covid Team has a similar role to play in managing covid-19. This is achieved this by working together and alongside clients, family and whanau and other organisations.
