**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

We are interested to hear from Health Care assistants who are looking for new opportunities in the exciting field of Acute Care. We are offering an 0.8 FTE rotating shifts, part time permanent contract.

Working at Whakatāne Hospital, you will be part of a small, highly skilled, and supportive team in a provincial hospital providing 24/7 medical cover. Our Acute Care Unit - Te Whakamarumaru O Uenuku, is a 11 bedded area comprising of a six bedded level one ICU/HDU/CCU and five bedded general admission area with added monitoring capability. We cater for both adult and paediatric patients from the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

A key focus for the Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is to build a sustainable workforce at Whakatāne Hospital whilst achieving equity in health outcomes for our Eastern Bay community.

**He Korero mōu - About You**
- The ability to work in New Zealand
- Be ready to complete Level 3 or already have level 4 in healthcare qualifications.
- Relevant experience as a Healthcare Assistant or working in a caring role within NZ
- To be flexible and reliable
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking English and at least intermediate level computer skills
