Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity a Transport Supervisor to join our head office in Auckland. The main purpose of this role is to effectively coordinate the outbound freight movement prioritising freight, inwards and outwards. The hours of work for this role is 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. **Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer**: - Our people and customers are at the heart of everything we do. - State of the art facilities, with a diverse team, in a fast paced and dynamic industry - Access to medical cover, discounted national holiday homes and retailer discounts. - Career and development opportunities are endless, nationally from Kaitaia to Invercargill and across the Tasman with our TGE family in Australia. **He angitūtanga: The opportunity** This role will be responsible for supervising aspects of transport operations as well as the implementation of processes in the branch to maximise the performance of the business to exceed our customers’ expectations. **Key responsibilities include**: - Oversee day to day operational running of the Transport Team ensuring effective communication across the broader team - Responsible for allocation of resources and scheduling/rostering of the team - Supervising both the Company Driver & Owner Driver Fleet, LCL and Parcels - Ensuring scanning compliance and effective management of our DIFOT (Delivered in-full, On-Time) targets - Coordination of company and owner drivers, specifically the presentation of vehicles and transport units - Providing resolution of customers enquiries, complaints and consignment issues - Create strong collaborative relationships with operations and Admin, as well as LCL and Parcels customers **Your Skills - ō pūkenga** We are looking for a superstar who can develop effective working relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Additionally, you will have: - 2 - 4 years of experience within the Transport industry - Sound practical and theoretical knowledge of Transport and Freight Forwarding - Demonstrate the ability to multitask across a constantly varying workload - Be a strong communicator who is confident in providing feedback around performance and targets - Solutions driven approach to problem solving ensuring customers have an efficient resolution to any enquiries or complaints - Relatable, reliable, adaptable and personable Ensuring we do our part to preserve Aotearoa’s environment, we are committed to stay on track with our carbon reduction goals for 2030.
