Finance Administrator

The purpose of this role is to provide Parental Leave cover for a fixed-term period of 12 months located in our National Office in the heart of Dunedin. Providing effective, accurate and essential financial administration, this role will be key in ensuring financial transactions are executed promptly, meeting the expectations of our varied stakeholders, both internal and external.
This role will be a touchpoint between other teams and the finance team. Understanding and managing stakeholder relationships is crucial to enhancing the organisation. Skilful and impactful communication and responsiveness are imperative to the role.
Where reasonably required, this role will support other teams to ensure that National Office runs effectively, professionally, and seamlessly.
Just some of the things you’re responsible for:
- Preparing and processing monthly creditor payments, fortnightly staff expense reimbursement payments and monthly debtor recharges.
- Actioning customer account transactions requests including refunds, contract reversals, bad debt write offs and settlements.
- Monitoring and actioning of requests through Payment’s inbox.
- General office and financial administration.
- Daily import of Bloomberg, MBI and Payment Waiver files.
- Monitoring and following up original signed agreements not received from originators.
- Work collaboratively to support other members of the Finance team including covering administration functions.
You’ll need to have:
- Strong administration and computer skills, with the ability to work with numerical information.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Experience in Financial systems and processes is preferred.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word, and comfortable working with large datasets.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an approachable and collaborative manner.
