The purpose of this position is to ensure the Buildings located on Christchurch's Parks and Gardens are presented and maintained in a manner that enhances Christchurch City's image as New Zealand's "Garden City".

This involves ensuring that the Building maintenance, including painting, general repairs, and all associated building enhancements are carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with service guidelines and specifications. You will have responsibility for maintaining accurate daily work records, including recording the completion of maintenance requests and hazard identification/risk assessment documentation on a regular basis.

A Minimum qualification in a relevant area, for example New Zealand Certificate in Building, Construction, and Allied Trades Skills, would be an advantage, or you may hold relevant experience in a similar role.

You will have a proven interest in building maintenance, as well as an ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers to provide a professional, friendly and informative service. A full driver's licence is also required.

**_ Salary: $25.56 - $29.90 per hour_**

**_ Hours: Full-time, permanent_**

**_ Location: this position will work across Council owned buildings city-wide_**
